Our God Not Limited By Time

a344843632c658d7537952409a89faaaWe looked at this amazing church history and formation of this vibrant church in Thessalonica.   The apostle Paul only spent 3 weeks teaching and preaching and building up the young belivers in this city.  And yet, they were a vibrant fellowship of young Christians, full of faith, love and hope.  They were also a people waiting eagerly for Jesus to return and take them to be with himself.     This encourages us to know that when we preach deep truths in the power of the Spirit we can trust GOD TO DO A MIGHTY WORK of  Faith, Hope, Love in a very short time-span.
It is marvelous that the Thessalonian believers could live such a life through the apostle’s short ministry of less than one month. This encourages us!

Jesus Bright Morning Star

We praise you and extol you our God for Jesus bright morning star! Let’s turn in our bibles 2 revelation Chapter 17 vs.

Rev 17:I6 – I Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.

Herald Of The Day

Today we are looking at Jesus as the bright and morning Star. The morning star is actually the planet Venus and it is very beautiful. This ‘star’ seems to be the fist star to appear in the sky just before darkness closes in and other stars appear. Throughout the darkness it remains as a predominant heavenly light. Then as it approaches daybreak that star which is Venus remains visible as the Last star that can be seen. It is a beautiful sight and it continues to shine until the coming of the dawn.

The Light In Deep Darkness

Jesus, the bright and morning Star is shining for us today. He is the light in deep darkness in the midst of a world that is full of all kinds of storm clouds. A world that is full of the darkness of sin. A world that is full of the darkness of hopelessness. That is full of the darkness of war; That is full, in many nations of the fear of nuclear annihilation. Our world is full of anti-God attitudes and Antichrist teachings. It is a world that is full of disobedience and rebellious unrest. Yes, the darkness is increasing but Jesus is the star that shines for us herald the promised that there will be a new day day and Dawn breaking. That will be the time of his return and when that day comes Jesus world peace to be the Morning Star but he will then shine as as the son of my righteousness that Rises with healing in his Wings.

Mal 4: 2for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.

Safe By His Presence

There may be the Darkness of sickness . In your life there may be the darkness of apprehension about tomorrow. Insecurity may be in your life because you do not know where you are headed. As a Christian you may be in a darkness of intense persecution. You might be apprehensive as you look at the things that are coming up on the earth. However you are safe by His presence. Our lord and saviour Jesus Christ spoke about all these things according to the holy scriptures and the attitude we should have as his followers.

Luke 21 – There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among the nations, bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the surging of the waves.  Men will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near

But he is the continuing shining star and and he has told us to lift up our heads when we see all kinds of troubles. If today, you lift your eyes up to him as your bright and morning star you will see him shining hope for the future against every obstacle that comes your way. Jesus will keep you. Jesus will keep you by his presence. Jesus will also keep you but his many precious promises. My friend if you want to see Him truly as your star then you have to lift your eyes upwards to the sky – to the heavenly things!

Col 3: 1, 2 – since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Day Of Opportunity

My dear friend at the start of each of your days you can lift up your eyes to heaven and say to the wonderful Lord, ” Lord I give you this day. Lord I give you every part of this day and I asked you bless me me with your presence and you helped me to glorify your name in my life. Lord give me your promises this day; by the power of your promises please help me live this day for you.” Yes everyday is a day of new opportunities because Jesus is the bright and morning star that shines in your heart and gives you hope.

The Awesome Gift

Jesus made a promise to the church of Thyatira as recorded in the second chapter of the book of Revelation. In this section of scripture the Lord Jesus is speaking to a church that is full of Sin. This church is the church that was so sinful it allowed a false prophetess called Jezebel to teach its members that it’s ok to commit sexual sin. This wicked prophetess was also teaching that Christians could worship idols. What a dark environment this is – wonderful but the Lord Jesus give this promise too faithful Christians in the dork scenario.

Rev 2:25 thru 28 – Nevertheless, hold fast to what you have until I come. And to the one who overcomes and continues in My work until the end, I will give authority over the nations. 27He will rule them with an iron scepter and shatter them like pottery —just as I have received authority from My Father. 28And I WILL GIVE HIM THE MORNING STAR!

We have seen that our saviour called himself the bright and Morning Star in revelation Chapter 22. In this chapter he is saying to the faithful believer, that he will give himself to that person. What a magnificent promise to receive because the greatest blessing in the Christian life is to have more and more of Jesus.

Rizwan’s Work of Mercy In Pakistan

Please help Rizwan’s Work of Mercy In Pakistan

Rizwan Shoukat is a young Pakistani single man of 23 years old. His compassionate heart feels a sense of destiny as he does the work of a pastor and holds church in his home. Still living with both his parents who have meagre resources, Rizwan works tirelessly at his daily work and ploughs much of his hard – earned earning into the wellbeing of his congregation.    His congregation are mainly little children from underprivileged poor families and he is trying to feed them and provide them with adequate nourishment and also feed their souls with the Love of The Lord Jesus.

More important than feeding them, Rizwan feels an urgency from The Lord in bringing them into a salvation and relational experience of Our wonderful saviour, Jesus – along with their parents.  The poor in his community need many necessities of life that they find hard to afford.  When the Christians are sick for instance, they find it very hard to pay hospital fees.   I am seeking to help him in the good work he is doing.

Below, I have two short VIDEO snippets of the happy children worshipping and dancing in the LORD’S presence!
