Kenya For Jesus

KENYA FOR JESUS

KENYA FOR JESUS! This is the earnest prayer of godly men and women in this nation. Among these godly men I would be pleased to introduce you to Pastor James Otieno. This man of God passionately continue to endeavour to lead this nation to Christ. Along with Pastor James, we all need to pray earnestly that God will open  the Kenyan peoples  eyes to the true Gospel.   Many are trying to follow a gospel of being saved by works or religious ritual.   Often ancestor worship needs to be broken that people will trust Jesus as their saviour and not their ancestors. Below is a “Gallery of photos” Pastor James work; I have also given some facts about the Nation of Kenya.

Kenya’ s Location and Population

Kenya was formed in the 1800’s under the colonisation of the British empire.  Lying on the African East coast it is surrounded by Ethiopia to the North, Tanzia to the South, Somalia to the Northeast and Uganda to the West.  The population of Kenya is very diverse having approximately 47 differing African communities living within it.   The Nation claimed independence from the British empire  in 1963

Political Struggles

Some of the major political struggles of Kenya are corruption and negative ethnicity.   Historically different tribes and classes have been creating conflicts and clashes with different groups.

Spiritual Needs And Cultural Struggles

As for Kenya’s female population, historically ( and even today) there have been cultural sufferings imposed by child marriages and female circumcision. Perhaps  the biggest barriers to Christianity in Kenya is the proliferation of cults and witchcraft; also in some places illiteracy and poverty are barriers.  (It’s hard to feed a person’s soul while their body is starving!)

We need to pray that their worldview will be transformed, they will learn more value family life.  We also need to pray that the Church ( the Bride of Christ) will stand up as the voice of the weak in Kenya society.   Let us also pray that we as servants of Christ, especially church leaders will  demonstrate high levels of integrity.
