Messenger Marcus shows us how that we are mightily empowered to serve God. First the Holy Spirit gifts us with the special abilities we need to serve; this is our basic gifting. Then the Lord Jesus leads us into our ministry calling. ( Normally to one degree or another this will be as a leader, a prophetic emphasis, evangelistic profile or a personality apt to teach). Finally God the father wants to enable the members of His church to operate in miraculous spiritual operations of power; healing, miracles, faith, prophecy etc.

Father, Son And Holy Spirit

Our wonderful God is ONE God and yet He exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the source and “Long Term Planner”. He chose to create and also redeem us from eternity before ever the universe or even time itself existed, (Eph 1:4). The Father sent The Son of God to come and visited this planet and walked amongst us.
The Son, taking our human nature suffered with us and for us as he carried away the sins we had committed in His love for us on calvary’s cruel cross. Three days later He rose from the dead!. The Son of God ( Jesus) is himself the very complete fullness of God. We are complete in every way if we know and are in union with Him. He is ALL WE NEED!
Then there is the Holy Spirit. He enters within us as The Life Giving Spirit of Jesus Christ to supply us with all God’s riches we will ever need. Jesus and The Father dwell within us and fellowship with us as we receive God’s Holy Spirit.

Evangelist Marcus shows from scripture that Matthew chapter 12 is a major turning point in the gospel of Matthew; here the Jewish leadership committed the ultimate blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Up to this point the ‘ Kingdom of Heaven’ was ONLY being preached to the Jews; it was a call to national repentance. If the nation at that point in time had received Jesus as their Messiah King, the Kingdom of God would have come to them. However, the Jewish leaders as described in Matthew chapter 12, attributed Jesus healing miracles to the power of satan, We will see from this time forward the Lord Jesus concentrates on teaching His disciples and preparing them to be His new man ( the Church) and teaching them that the gospel of God’s Grace was to be proclaimed after His resurrection to ALL NATIONS

Feb 24 to 26th 2023: – The EQUIP THE CHURCH CONFERENCE WAS BASED ON THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS, CHAPTER 4, VERSES 11 TO 16….

Eph 4:11 to 16- And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, 1until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

1Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming. 1Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.  From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.

The scriptures tell us that in the very last days of this age, the spiritual darkness will be great on earth, (Isa 60:2). But this passage of scripture also tells us that God will shine upon his people. Although this promise was specifically given to the Nation of Israel we can also apply it to the church of Jesus Christ. We ARE THE SPIRITUAL ISRAEL of God, (Gal 6:16). According to this passage of scripture, as well as Our Lord Jesus prayer in John 17, God is is going to build his church up in these very last days into ONENESS and maturity. John 17: 20 to 23 – do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

PASTORS AND CHURCH LEADERS CONFERENCE – RIAT

Pastor James Otieno together with his ‘ son in the faith’, pastor Nashon attended this conference, along with pastor Bathlomew.   It was in Busia County, hosted by Pastor Peter of Christ missions services international,  Matayos town worship centre. Also present, ministering together were Pastor Robert &Van Honeycutt. 

There was a turnout of about 100 people.  This included 20 pastors from neighbouring  churches. It was INDEED a powerful time; a great revival.  10 ladies got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. These new sisters are currently going through teachings and will return for baptism.   The event lasted 3 days,

PRAYER WALK 29th MARCH 2024

Each year in the region overseen by Pastor Otieno, the believers take part in a prayer walk. As they walk through nearby regions they claim through intercession new territory for God, believing the promise of Joshua 1:3.

……. every place that your sole shall tread I will give to you

The glorious gospel is preached as the faithful believers travel and pray. Every year fresh souls are saved and brought into the kingdom of God through Christ’s mercy and grace.
The prayer walk of course needs finance for food, fresh water, energy drinks and snacks as the prayer intercessors and preachers travel. To date (26-03-2024) there is still an outstanding need of $300 usd (£238) for the ministry walk.
Pastor James is also involved in another work of mercy providing the Miranga villagers where he lives with healthy pure water. There have been deaths in the village already due to the contaminated water.
$7000 has already been spent on a Solar powered water pump in this fresh water project. There is still $3000 needed for the machine drilling needed to complete the project.
